After former President Obama signed against the pipeline to run under the Missouri River in 2016, Trump just reversed that decision. The Los Angeles Times reports: “I am very insistent that if we’re going to build pipelines in the United States, the pipe should be made in the United States.” - President Trump The recent decision to reopen negotiations for pipeline construction does not mean that production will take place. The big picture problem with supporting oil and gas is the increasing amount of carbon that those forms

Solar Power Panels Increase Production in Areas with More Snowfall

By |January 17th, 2017|Categories: Clean Energy, Environment, Featured, National News, Tech News, YouTube|Tags: , , , , |

The U.S. Department of Energy recently reviewed the impacts that snow caused on solar power panels. They found out that in light snow conditions, the snow helped generate more power overall. In contrast, they also found that heavy snowfall currently created a problem for the panels. CleanTechnica reported in 2012 that snowy conditions can increase productivity with solar power panels. It does seem that the reflection of the snow would aid to the amount of solar (photovoltaic) cells available for the panels to collect. As technology continues to advance, the materials and methods that the panels are used will soon capture the

The National Oceanic Atmospheric Administration reported: 'Global sea level has been rising over the past century, and the rate has increased in recent decades. In 2014, global sea level was 2.6 inches above the 1993 average—the highest annual average in the satellite record (1993-present). Sea level continues to rise at a rate of about one-eighth of an inch per
