Suwannee Hulaween 2016 Review and Multimedia from Sunday, October 30
On the final day of Suwannee Hulaween 2016, the event organizers planned to cap off the entertainment with Big Gigantic on the Meadow Stage. Suwannee Hulaween 2016. Photo by: Matthew McGuire. The day started off hotter in comparison to the other three days with less clouds and more sunlight. We were lucky to have an overcast for most of the weekend. Overall the weather was spectacular. My day kicked off with bluegrass from The Travelin' McCourys. The lineup to the band looked like it might have changed since the last time I had seen them in 2012.

Guests, vendors, artists and musicians gathered once again on Saturday to celebrate the end of summer. The Spirit Lake area provided room for a wide range of creative talent to showcase their skills in costume design, wood working, lightening, painting, yoga, mediation, music, slacklining, juggling and hula hooping. Suwannee Hulaween officially opened the festival gates to guests with three days passes. On Friday the festival hosted live entertainment featuring: Karl Denson, Gramatik, The String Cheese Incident, Future Rock and many more talented musicians. It marked my first time covering the event with Tony. My primary goal was to capture the event with photos and film, but with such an expansive festival, I wanted to help him out with the context and background on the live performances. Hulaween 2016 Hosts the Most Wicked Pre-Party in Camping Music Festival History
4 stages, 24 total acts, including EOTO, Marco Benevento, a late night Greensky Bluegrass show, and 2 sets of Umphrey’s McGee. That’s what you call a Pre-Party at Suwannee Hulaween! Needless to say the bar was set high early in the weekend. Marco Benevento was the first of many to funk up the Amphitheater stage during the extra warm afternoon. EOTO & Friends As always EOTO helped get this party going on Thursday, but taking the stage somewhat earlier than last year and being joined by Umphrey’s McGee’s guitarist Jake Cinniger and Break Science’s Borahm Lee.

The Tribeca Film Festival is hosting their virtual arcade at the Oculus at Westfield World Trade Center during the first three weekends of November. Major Lazer and Flume to Headline Air + Style in Los Angeles
Air + Style 2017 has announced their dates and performing acts featuring Major Lazer and Flume headlining the event at the Los Angeles Coliseum on February 17 & 18. Additional performers include: ZHU, Chromeo, Atmosphere, YG, TV On The Radio, Vince Staples, Russ, Louis The Child, Vic Mensa, St. Lucia, and Marian Hill. The String Cheese Incident will help host the fourth annual Suwannee Hulaween music festival in Live Oak, Florida this October 27-30. The band will perform three days during the event, and will also showcase music that they have developed with side projects. Over the past four years, The String Cheese Incident have been the flagship live act for Hulaween. With each year, the band continues to find new ways of showcasing live music from their twenty year career. Three Intriguing Acts at Suwannee Hulaween 2016
This year marks the fourth annual Suwannee Hulaween music festival held in Live Oak, Florida. Each year the festival hosts a wide range of music for guests to engage with during 3-4 days of camping and recreation. Recently, we published an in-depth article covering some of the data behind the 105 musical acts set to perform at Suwannee Hulaween. Early arrival is currently open for guests wanting to get setup before the entertainment hits on Thursday. Oculus has recently showcased some of their latest technology at Oculus Connect this past October 5-7 at the San Jose Mcnery Convention Center.
