Suwannee Hulaween has announced their 2017 lineup. The String Cheese Incident will once again return to Live Oak, Florida to host the 5th annual Suwannee Hulaween music festival on October 26-29. The festival decided to have SiriusXM Jam On to make the first round of announcements at 11:00 a.m. EST/10:00 a.m. CST. The Suwanee Hulaween 2017 pre-sale is taking place today on May 11. A batch of pre-sale tickets will be open for purchase starting at 12:00 p.m. EST. Guests have noted the pre-sale tickets tend to sell out fast. I would be ready for a large demand once again this year. The Suwannee Summer Clusterpluck is taking place June 23 & 24, 2017 at Spirit of the Suwannee Music Park. Purple Hatter’s Ball Announces Second Round of Artists with Dumpstaphunk and Zoogma
The Purple Hatter's Ball has beefed up their 2017 lineup with artist additions including Dumpstaphunk, Zoogma, NickFRESH, POST.MODEM, Booty Boo, Jeff Randall, and Ion Zide joining the group of live musicians set to perform this upcoming June 2-4. The festival will be held at the Spirit of Shawnee Music Park in Live Oak, Florida. Suwannee Hulaween 2016 Returns to Live Oak, Florida in Grand Fashion
Suwannee Hulaween 2016 held their fourth annual music festival in Live Oak, Florida on October 27-30. Silver Wrapper, Suwannee Music Park, Purple Hat Productions and The String Cheese Incident brought in My Morning Jacket, Disclosure and Big Gigantic to help headline the four day camping music festival. Tony Smith, writer for Crescent Vale, has covered the event in 2014, 2015 and again this year in 2016. The day started off hotter in comparison to the other three days with less clouds and more sunlight. We were lucky to have an overcast for most of the weekend. Overall the weather was spectacular. My day kicked off with bluegrass from The Travelin' McCourys. The lineup to the band looked like it might have changed since the last time I had seen them in 2012.

On Friday the festival hosted live entertainment featuring: Karl Denson, Gramatik, The String Cheese Incident, Future Rock and many more talented musicians. It marked my first time covering the event with Tony. 4 stages, 24 total acts, including EOTO, Marco Benevento, a late night Greensky Bluegrass show, and 2 sets of Umphrey’s McGee. That’s what you call a Pre-Party at Suwannee Hulaween! Needless to say the bar was set high early in the weekend. Marco Benevento was the first of many to funk up the Amphitheater stage during the extra warm afternoon. EOTO & Friends As always EOTO helped get this party going on Thursday, but taking the stage somewhat earlier than last year and being joined by Umphrey’s McGee’s guitarist Jake Cinniger and Break Science’s Borahm Lee.
