YouTube is in hot water over their streaming music service with musicians looking to obtain more money for their content. Personally, I also want YouTube to start paying more for content. YouTube does provide a free server to upload data for their users. This is one of the many tradeoffs that major media outlets overlook when covering this debate. Another tradeoff is the search engine connected to the content. As a media producer that runs my own website, I completely understand the cost in providing server space for millions of users. That cost should be far more transparent. YouTube

One of the longest running summer festivals will return to New York City this year for Lincoln Center Out of Doors concert series. They recently announced the entertainment lineup for the AMERICANAFEST that will be taking place August 12 & 13. The lineup this year includes: Bonnie Raitt, The Jayhawks, Don Bryant, Traveller, Flaco Jiménez, Amanda Shires, and Low Cut Connie. August 12: Traveller, Flaco Jiménez and Amanda Shires are set to perform at Hearst Plaza. The Jayhawks, A Celebration of Chuck Berry with musical director Vernon Reid, and Low Cut Connie will be performing at Damrosch Park Bandshell starting at 6:00 p.m.

Faye Fest Music and Food Festival and Deli Star are set to host their first annual event on September 30 from Fayetteville, Illinois. Jamestown Revival will be headlining the one day event at the Fayetteville Community Park. This event is free and open to all ages. A number of food trucks will be available to serve attendees. Additional acts include: Sam Lewis, Old Salt Union, The Steepwater Band, and Well Hungarians.
