Fastball celebrates their 20th year anniversary with ‘Step Into Light’
The band known as Fastball exploded on the music scene during the '90s, and recently have released their sixth album tilted Step Into Light. Fastball the band has started a record label known as 33 1/3 Records. This is their first vinyl release in part to having more creative control regarding their material. Silicon Valley by HBO Season 1, Episode 5 – Show Review
The Pied Piper team goes looking in all the wrong places for a logo. Erlich Bachman recruits a street artist by the name of Chuy to get some edge added to the brand. Bachman arranges a deal with Chuy for $10,000 to create the logo. The total budget for Pied Piper is $200,000. In reality the logo should probably not cost five percent of the total operating budget. The Webby Awards recently held their award show hosted by Joel McHale. His opening was uncommon, but hit on some real truth within the media industry. This award show highlights and honors the best content being produced on the Web. In contrast, Hale's recent show The Great Outdoors was recently canceled after one season on CBS. The contrast is between traditional and new media combining and reforming the way consumers find entertainment. In the fourth episode of Silicon Valley Richard signs several documents with a new lawyer played by Ben Feldman. The show brings up incorporating the business in Delaware. When researching why investors would want to incorporate the business in that state, I found out that they do this to often register the company as a C corporation. YouTube TV has recently added new channels to their lineup including: AMC_TV, BBCAMERICA, IFC, SundanceTV & WEtv are now on YouTube TV. Currently, YouTube is providing the service in New York, Los Angeles, the San Francisco Bay Area, Chicago, and Philadelphia. They have yet to report on additional cities. The 2017 Hangout Music Festival has officially sold out of tickets via their box office, but weekend passes are still available to purchase. StubHub has one of the largest markets for reselling tickets. I do not support reselling tickets, but in this case, the tickets are close to the same value that they were being sold via the main box office. The team at Pied Piper is also faced with another company having the name 'Pied Piper' registered with the Secretary of State. This causes Richard to have to use his negotiating skills to acquire the name legally. Along with the poor choice of Pied Piper for a business name, the team has to deal with trying to possibly rebrand and rename the company.
