Win Tickets to ACL Festival 2017 and Watch the Lineup Drop on May 4

ACL Fest usually sells out of three day passes in a hurry after releasing their lineup. The festival has noted that single day tickets will be available this year for both weekends, but those may sell out as well. One of the best ways is to secure your spot at Zilker Park in Austin is to be ready at 10 a.m. CST when the tickets go on sale. Back in 2003, my friend and I setup as many computers as possible to get VIP Bonnaroo tickets when they went on sale. It worked, but doesn't always secure a place in

Microsoft presents The Explanimators – Episode 1: An Animated Guide to Artificial Intelligence

By |May 1st, 2017|Categories: Entertainment, Featured, Film News, National News, Pop Culture, Tech News, YouTube|Tags: , , , , , , , |

Artificial intelligence is helping make the world a more sustainable environment. Microsoft recently released a video covering the topic of AI and machine learning. The video points out that AI has helped increased yields for farmers up to 30 percent. It works as an excellent introduction for those unfamiliar with artificial intelligence. One element that bothers me is the narrator using a smartphone while driving in the video. Microsoft is developing an open source platform for their Aerial Informatics and Robotics Platform, but smartphone use while driving is illegal in some states for good reason. Over a dozen people a day

Nikki Lane is off to a hot start for her 2017 Highway Queen tour. The international tour has won over hearts at the Stagecoach Festival, as well as listeners on major radio and television stations. Her blending of affection and rebellion within music creates a special dichotomy. The Nashville-based country singer produces a soulful mix of alternative California country rock. Brandi Carlile is from Seattle, but reminds me of Nikki Lane's spirit. There is a revolution taking place in the music industry with a large influx of strong women leading the pack. Preview 'Jackpot' performed live on CONAN. Also check out that

Netflix Hack Strikes Season 5 to Orange Is the New Black

By |April 29th, 2017|Categories: Economy, Entertainment, Featured, Film News, National News, Netflix, Pop Culture, United Kingdom, YouTube|Tags: , , , , , |

Netflix experienced an issue of theft and hacking that took place at Larson Studios, a postproduction service in Los Angeles, during late 2016 or early in 2017. The hackers will remain anonymous, but the issue of stealing digital files from major streaming networks is a serious problem. The New York Times reported: 'Netflix had announced this year that Season 5 of “Orange Is the New Black” would be released June 9, and it was not immediately clear whether it planned to move up the release date.'
