[av_heading heading='Phantogram and Big Boi combine to present Big Grams' tag='h3' style='blockquote modern-quote' size='' subheading_active='subheading_below' subheading_size='15' padding='10' color='' custom_font=''] Written by: Jessa Brooke [/av_heading] Phantogram and Big Boi have made collaboration history with their recent release Big Grams on Epic Records. The amazing thing about the power of music is the individual interpretation that is unique to the listener. Each person is listening for differing reasons. For some, the lyrics speak to them, and for others, the beat is all they hear and some. In connection to creating memories tied to a song or an artist. Similar to reading a book, music
Jeff Austin Band tours through the Hangar 9 in Carbondale, Illinois
[av_heading heading='Way Down Wanderers join the Jeff Austin Band on the road' tag='h3' style='blockquote modern-quote' size='' subheading_active='subheading_below' subheading_size='15' padding='10' color='' custom_font=''] Written by: Matthew McGuire [/av_heading] The Jeff Austin Band and Way Down Wanderers plugged in and stripped down their sound on Wednesday, September 16 in downtown Carbondale, Illinois. The doors opened at 8 p.m. and the Way Down Wanderers performed from 9-10 p.m. Their traditional bluegrass sound reminded me of the Henhouse Prowlers. Both bands showcase the Chicago bluegrass style, and I enjoyed listening to their approach to live music before the Jeff Austin Band got ready to go.

Gold King Mine is a Tipping Point On Wednesday, August 5 the Environmental Protection Agency was inspecting the Gold King Mine, a suspended mine outside of Durango. The crew should have drained the contaminated waste water before creating an opportunity for the polluted water a chance to hit a main body of water. Gold King Mine is one of tens of thousands of old mines in the state of Colorado. The U.S. Geological Survey reported 3 million gallons of polluted water continues to flow into the Animas River in comparison to the EPA's estimate of 1 million gallons of polluted water. The EPA
The Delta Saints + Ed Spear release Bones
The Delta Saints released Bones, an album capturing their gritty Nashville style on record. The album was released with Loud and Proud Records. 'Heavy Hammer' grabbed my attention right away. It reminded me of an updated Black Crowes track. It would be great to have the Robinsons guest spot on a track in the future. Their soul matches well with The Delta Saints. Bones is Produced/engineered/mixed by Ed Spear. His professional work experience with Three Man Records echoes within this project. The tracks on the album provide a range of emotions built with unique song structures. 'Dust' is a provocative track that works on the
