United Kingdom Removes Coal from their Energy Grid for a Day

By |April 30th, 2017|Categories: Clean Energy, Economy, Environment, Europe, Featured, London, National News, Politics, United Kingdom, United States, World News|Tags: , , , |

Traditional forms of energy production are eroding faster than the metal pipes used to extract fossil fuels from the earth. Recently, the United Kingdom completed an entire day without the use of coal to power the country. The country has decreased their production of coal from 20 percent in 2014, to almost little or no production in 2017. Renewable energy continues to replace coal for price efficiency. One counter argument to the progress in sustaining the environment with renewable energy is that countries like the United Kingdom, Iceland, Albania and Paraguay are smaller in comparison to the United States and China.

One of the best independent releases from 2016 was released by Peter Bjorn and John titled Breakin' Point. This beautiful piece of music is available on physical and digital platforms. I was first turned on to the project when the band got in touch with press materials for the international tour that started in 2016, and has continued through 2017. We often get press materials from a wide mix of producers and creators in different forms of entertainment. Once I saw that Peter Bjorn and John were releasing a follow up to their 2011 album Gimmie Some, I was instantly interested

As the Internet continues to grow, the demand for content continues to grow. Web producers continue to face the problem of creating engaging content that connects with multiple demographics. The content and product is going to need to be refined to a point that is easy to consume, informative, and valuable enough to need to share with friends and family. When I first started blogging ten years ago, I would write about music related topics. Over the years, I have been able to refine that style of content, as well as exploring different avenues of content from sports, politics,

In 2017, Earth Day took on a new meaning with international protests pushing for a more sustainable future. The Guardian reported: 'The main March for Science event was held in Washington DC, where organizers made plans for up to 150,000 people to flock to the national mall...' They also pointed out that over 600 protests were held across the globe. The March for Science event continues after the protest wrapped yesterday.
