Zenimax Wins Intellectual Copyright Case Against Facebook’s virtual reality company Oculus

Facebook recently lost a 500 million court case to Zenimax over the intellectual property rights to the software and hardware used in the Oculus product line. After Facebook bought the virtual reality company in 2014, they moved forward with failed projects. This past holiday season the hardware and software was underdeveloped and overpriced. It did poorly for Facebook, but advertisers kept throwing money away with their advertising system. This 500 million dollar loss is a fraction of the profit they made in the fourth quarter of 2016 alone. With the amount of money the company is making overall, it would make

India is working with Facebook to provide underdeveloped areas with access to the Internet. In early 2016, Facebook attempted to work out a partnership with India, but hit roadblocks with their crafty algorithms. Mashable reported: 'In January, India’s telecoms regulator rejected Facebook’s Free Basics program after more than a million people registered complaints abut the plan, which would have given free access to specific websites chosen by Facebook.' After digging into Free Basics by Facebook developers, I was able to find out that companies and individuals have to request to be apart of this new service. It also let

10 Reasons Why Computers Are Not Journalists

By |August 28th, 2016|Categories: Economy, Featured, National News, Tech News|Tags: , , , , , , , |

As a journalist, I find that the recent wave of removing jobs from people with experience in the journalism industry to save money with algorithms is unreasonable, unethical, and displays a backwards thinking mentality. To explore my theory, I plan to show the different dimensions of being a journalist, and the capacity a human being has to do the different jobs, along with the current state of electronics and robotics in mass market today. If a company is investing in a limited ability in overall news gathering, it displays to me, a mismanagement of the resources in the company. Let's look
