Visitors from all over the globe gathered across the United States on August 21 for the 2017 Solar Eclipse. Google has been working hard to provide unique views to this special event. In additional to a YouTube 360 video, they have put together a documentary, and have been working with independent data scientists to create a collection of photographs spanning coast-to-coast during totality. Over 1,300 citizen scientists captured moments of totality with their cameras. The project was focused to find out more on the sun’s atmosphere. The Sundance Institute hosted their fifth annual NEXT FEST event in downtown Los Angeles at the Ace Hotel from August 10-13. Amazon Studios has nabbed up the creators to The Walking Dead for a series of new projects. The major film company has recently expanded programming with science fiction, fantasy and horror. Robert Kirkman and David Alpert are the creators of The Walking Dead, Fear the Walking Dead and Outcast. The Sundance Institute has announced additional screenings and speakers for the NEXT FEST event taking place in Los Angeles from August 10 - 13. Guests will pack into The Theatre at Ace Hotel in downtown Los Angeles to experience screenings to some of the hottest films from the Sundance Film Festival. Disney Selects the Cast and Crew for the Upcoming Aladdin Film
The casting and production team in charge of the upcoming live-action film for Aladdin have selected their initial group of actors. The director for this film will be Guy Ritchie, and the screenplay will be written by John August. Will Smith, Naomi Scott and Mena Massoud have been selected to perform in Disney's upcoming film Aladdin. Will Smith will test his vocal strength as the Genie.
