[av_heading heading='Trailer release for Chi-raq ' tag='h3' style='blockquote modern-quote' size='' subheading_active='subheading_below' subheading_size='15' padding='10' color='' custom_font=''] Written by: Matthew McGuire [/av_heading] Spike Lee’s new movie “Chi-raq” has just released a new trailer. This preview lands just a month ahead of its release. The plot of film centers on gang violence in Chicago’s neighborhoods, as well as a deeper look on the gun control and culture in the city. We find that this film does an excellent job of showing the problems that are taking place in Chicago, without glorying the violence. The city of Chicago experiences a larger than average homicide rate

The park has several trails to choose from including: Post Oak, Devil’s Standtable, Giant City Nature Trail, Stonefort, Indian Creek, Trillium and the Arrowwood trail. My first trail was on Devil's Standtable. I found out that visitors can rock climb to the summit, or hike around the bluffs to reach the top. It was more enjoyable

The doors opened at 8 p.m. and the Way Down Wanderers performed from 9-10 p.m. Their traditional bluegrass sound reminded me of the Henhouse Prowlers. Both bands showcase the Chicago bluegrass style, and I enjoyed listening to their approach to live music before the Jeff Austin Band got ready to go.
