A Year of Defiant Music The year of 2017 has been filled with chart-topping hits and misses. Throughout the year artists released expressions of work that mirrored the state of the world around them. Each year we go through and select a group of ten albums that grabbed our attention the most. Overall we look for creativity, strength, storytelling, and originality. This year we saw several creative projects that could not all be added to the list, but we support artists that dare to express themselves. iHeartRadio and Lorde combined forces to host a unique concert experience for fans in the Los Angeles area. The team at iHeartRadio recently had the cleaver idea to take the latest Snapchat update with Snap Maps, and connected that with a secret live set at the Houdini Estate. MTV VMAs Host Live Performances with Kendrick Lamar, Ed Sheeran, Fifth Harmony featuring Gucci Mane
The 2017 MTV VMAs will be broadcasting live this evening from the LA Forum starting at 8:00 p.m. CST. Kendrick Lamar is scheduled to open the MTV VMAs. Katy Perry host the award show that is set to be broadcast live from the “Fabulous” Forum in Inglewood, California. Bleachers, Cardi B, Khalid are on deck to perform during the pre-show. The preview event will be kicking off at 6 p.m. EST and 3 p.m. PST.
