Additional Acts Set to Perform: ZEDD, The Killers, Halsey, The Chainsmokers, and Over 60 Acts Goldenvoice and the Hangout Music Festival have announced dozens of live acts set to perform in Gulf Shores, Alabama from May 18-20. The social media response is the same as the past two years with diehard alumni taking verbal jabs at the lineup. After covering the event from 2013-2016, I can say that the lineup undercard does lack name recognition. Weezer, ODESZA Set to Headline the 2017 Forecastle Festival
The Forecastle Festival announced their 2017 lineup earlier this week with LCD Soundsystem, Weezer and ODESZA headlining the event in Louisville, Kentucky. This music, art and activism-based festival will be taking place July 14-16. Additional acts include: Cage the Elephant, PJ Harvey, Run the Jewels, Nathaniel Rateliff and the Night Sweats, GRiZ, X Ambassadors, Vince Staples, NEEDTOBREATHE, Teddy Abrams & Friends, and Conor Oberst. The festival has released a main bulk of their live acts, but they still have additional bands and musicians still to be announced. The inaugural Day for Night Festival 2016 is being hosted by Free Press Houston and a New York-based creative firm known as Work-Order. The festival has recently announced the lineup with over 60 live acts performing on multiple stages. Day for Night will be utilizing more than 1.5 million square feet of hybrid indoor-outdoor space at the former Barbara Jordan Post Office on Franklin Street. The massive complex will house three stages. This experiential arts festival will feature digital installations and world-renowned performers. No one really knew what to expect at the inaugural year of Vertex Music Festival, but excitement filled the air like electricity. The forecast had called for thunderstorms, but fearless music lovers from all over Colorado and the US began arriving at Cottonwood Meadows as early as Thursday morning.
