Amazon Continues to Save the Environment with Renewable Energy Projects Nationwide
Amazon has built a massive wind power plant in Texas with plans to power more than 330,000 homes with clean energy. In addition to building a new headquarters that will supply tens of thousands of jobs that Americans need badly, Amazon is also saving the environment by producing clean energy projects in comparison to unsafe drilling projects. When elders said, 'your generation is going to have to save the world.' It is exciting to see Amazon paving the road to a sustainable future. "Investing in renewable energy is a win-win-win-win - it's right for our customers, our communities, our
A Map to how Renewable Energy will Replace Fossil Fuels
Renewable energy is picking up stem in 2017 with the price for solar and wind continuing to drop overall. With a majority of developed countries around the world competing to gain an edge for the next economical boom; lobbyists in our country will continue to attempt to write and pass laws that prevent the energy revolution from early adoption in the United States. Recently, The Guardian reported that wind farms are expected to cost the same in comparison to fossil fuel stations. In order to give some insight on how renewable energy will develop in our country, I wanted

UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Reviews Solar Power in Africa
Areas of Africa will soon be approaching the tipping point at which solar power will be cheaper and more affordable in comparison to fossil fuels. In a recent report, UC Berkeley and Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory found that Africa will be tripling its electricity demand by 2030. As the cost for renewable energy continues to decrease with the increase of demand and advancements in solar cell technology, the expansion of renewable in developing areas continues to increase. “The surprising find is that the wind and solar resources in Africa are absolutely gigantic, and something you could tap into for
Scientists in Norway Developing Eco-Friendly Solar Cells with Enhanced Efficiency
Energy production is in a major state of transition. Technology companies such as Apple, Google, Tesla and Amazon are all investing in solar power. This is taking place at the same time as a preliminary budget has been sent to Congress that would defund the Environmental Protection Agency. The large tech companies are aware of the benefits to renewable energy. They have a large demand for power to cool their servers. Apple has reported to have had an excess amount of energy at times for utilizing renewable energy. The debate on cost for solar energy is over. Research how
A Start-Up in Switzerland called Insolight Doubles the Yield in Solar Panels
The solar power industry is taking over 2017 with advanced technology and employment opportunities. During an era of transition, the solar power industry is evolving and adapting at record levels. Reuters reported: "The Trump administration wants jobs and the Trump administration is going to get jobs with solar." - Solar Foundation President Andrea Luecke There is a large debate taking place between the fossil fuel industry, and the renewable energy industry. Last year, the United States added more than 260,000 workers in over 40 states. Within that number, 40 percent of workers are employed by SolarCity/Tesla. With the cost of
Google Taps Artificial Intelligence to Aid with Renewable Energy
Google continues to expand their presence in the renewable energy sector with a recent announcement of going to 100% renewable energy by 2017. Amazon and Google are both making major progress within clean energy development. In Google's case, they are using DeepMind, a United Kingdom form of technology, that uses artificial intelligence to solve problems. The Guardian reported: “We are convinced this is good for business, this is not about greenwashing. This is about locking in prices for us in the long term. Increasingly, renewable energy is the lowest cost option,” said Marc Oman, EU energy lead at Google.
