MTV has announced their nominees for their 2017 VMAs coming up from the 'Fabulous' Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, August 27 AT 8:00 p.m. EST/PST. Vote for your favorite video via the VMAs main website. One video stood out from the pack for me personally. The video from Taboo and Shailene Woodley on 'Stand Up / Stand N Rock #NoDAPL' felt like it should be video of the year. MTV will host their 34th annual Video Music Awards from Forum in Inglewood, California on Sunday, August 27 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. The award ceremony will showcase the hottest talented within the music industry in Southern California. E! online reported: 'Last year's MTV Video Music Awards drew 6.5 million viewers, down 34 percent from 9.8 million for 2015's L.A.-based show. It was simulcast on 11 cable networks owned by MTV's parent company Viacom, including CMT, Comedy Central, Logo, MTV2, Spike, TV Land and Vh1.'
