Bitcoin is an electronic form of currency that has made impressive gains over the past few weeks. On Wednesday, Bitcoin was valued at 968.00 USD per Bitcoin. In comparison, to the all-time high of 979.45 per Bitcoin. The digital currency has continued to have a positive trend during 2016. One of the strong driving points to the increase in demand may be the instability of the major currencies around the globe. One of the questions that I would like to see is how Bitcoin will react when valued around the 980.00 USD price point. The price of the currency

Biotechnology is still a relatively new concept for the general public that utilizes technical methods to diagnose problematic cells in the body. A quick definition of the word: 'At its simplest, biotechnology is technology based on biology - biotechnology harnesses cellular and biomolecular processes to develop technologies and products that help improve our lives and the health of our planet. We have used the biological processes of microorganisms for more than 6,000 years to make useful food products, such as bread and cheese, and to preserve dairy products.' Despite having financial setbacks in 2016, the biotech industry continues to

In late October and early November the news hit that Facebook's revenue would be slowing down in 2017 with a focus on investing into the company. After year-to-year success in the technology industry, Facebook has finally hit a wall known as the largest initial public offering since 2014, and that is the Snapchat IPO. Investors have seen Facebook do well, and stumble over the past four and a half years. Overall, the stock has provided investors with stable returns to keep them happy. Recently, Facebook and Mark Zuckerberg announced that Morgan Freemon would be the voice of their upcoming artificial intelligence project

Google Taps Artificial Intelligence to Aid with Renewable Energy

By |December 12th, 2016|Categories: California, Clean Energy, Economy, Environment, Featured, Google, National News, Tech News, United Kingdom, YouTube|Tags: , , , , |

Google continues to expand their presence in the renewable energy sector with a recent announcement of going to 100% renewable energy by 2017. Amazon and Google are both making major progress within clean energy development. In Google's case, they are using DeepMind, a United Kingdom form of technology, that uses artificial intelligence to solve problems. The Guardian reported: “We are convinced this is good for business, this is not about greenwashing. This is about locking in prices for us in the long term. Increasingly, renewable energy is the lowest cost option,” said Marc Oman, EU energy lead at Google.

The Donald Trump Transition Takes Steps in the Right Direction

By |December 7th, 2016|Categories: Clean Energy, Economy, Environment, Featured, National News, New York City, Politics, San Francisco, YouTube|Tags: , , , |

The Donald Trump transition continues to reshape the political structure of the United States. He has made suggestions for a tax plan that would put a 35% tax on businesses that hire staff outside of the country for lower wages. I strongly back raising taxes on everyone to help get our country out of debt. Another strong suggestion for the Donald Trump transition team is to raise taxes early in his presidency, and turn the tables on the mainstream media. Deep down, I truly believe Trump wants to help this country grow. It doesn't make any sense for him

By |December 5th, 2016|Categories: Amazon, Culinary, Economy, Featured, Local News, National News, Seattle, Tech News, YouTube|Tags: , , , , , , , |

Amazon announced today their new technology-based grocery store in Seattle. The company has created an application to help shoppers connect with products. The app and store is called Amazon Go. If you watch the video below it gives a walkthrough of how the technology works. Amazon is pushing hard for a checkout-free shopping experience, but I'm not totally buying that line. Yes, customers do not have to check out, which is not all that time consuming overall. In addition, they do have to check in, so I don't see the big difference. Not only do you check in, but
