Many more thousand people are streaming the event around the globe. Shakira joined Coldplay on stage for a special moment early in the live stream. Chance the Rapper rolls out a classic set of music for NPR's Tiny Desk series. Third Story and the Social Experiment helped out with vocals, horn, keys and drums. A total eclipse will be taking place on Monday, August 21 across sections of the United States. This event will be the first total solar eclipse since 1918. The following states will have more visibility with the solar eclipse: Oregon, Idaho, Wyoming, Nebraska, Missouri, Illinois, Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina. The era of vinyl records continues to make a comeback with Sony Music resuming production from a distribution center in Japan. They plan to relaunch vinyl production in March 2018. During the '70s to the mid '80s vinyl records were the primary medium for people to listen to music. As the the compact disc (CD) became popular in the '90s, the vinyl record medium was slowly replaced with a plastic, and cheaper method to produce music for mass consumption.
