Hulu and YouTube TV have been added to the ratings for Nielsen's measurement covering television viewership. This move by Nielsen showcases another step forward in providing transparency to trends within entertainment consumption on multiple mobile devices. YouTube TV and Google have recently announced plans to update their streaming services to additional cities in the United States. Originally, the streaming service connected viewers with live streaming television via YouTube in Chicago, Los Angeles and New York. The company has recently announced ten additional cities including: Washington, D.C., Houston, Atlanta, Phoenix, Detroit, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Miami-Ft. Lauderdale, Orlando-Daytona Beach-Melbourne, Charlotte, and Dallas-Fort Worth. YouTube Red is one type of subscription model that offers original programming and Google Play Music for users. This service allows users to skip ads within YouTube content, (not YouTube TV content.) It costs $9.99 a month.
