Amazon Launches Their Largest Wind Farm in West Texas

Amazon has announced plans to open their largest wind farm in Scurry County, Texas. This progressive step forward mirrors the companies ability to adapt, and react to the demands of an evolving world. Amazon plans the Texas Wind Farm will generate 1,000,000 megawatt hours (MWh) of wind energy annually. That clean energy would help power 90,000 homes. "We're excited to work with the community in Scurry County and Lincoln Clean Energy to generate 1,000,000 MWh of renewable energy each year from West Texas," said Kara Hurst, director of sustainability, Amazon. The inaugural Day for Night Festival 2016 is being hosted by Free Press Houston and a New York-based creative firm known as Work-Order. The festival has recently announced the lineup with over 60 live acts performing on multiple stages. Day for Night will be utilizing more than 1.5 million square feet of hybrid indoor-outdoor space at the former Barbara Jordan Post Office on Franklin Street. The massive complex will house three stages. This experiential arts festival will feature digital installations and world-renowned performers.
