MTV VMAs 2016 Pre-Show Kicks Off Tonight with the Red Carpet
The MTV VMAs 2016 award presentation is set to air live from the world renown Madison Square Garden for the first time ever on Sunday, August 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET/PT. Guests will begin to arrive to the venue and walk the Red Carpet at Madison Square Garden at 6:15 p.m. EST. Fashion and self-expression will be on hand to kick off the VMAs 2016 edition. At 8:00 the official Pre-Show will warm up guests, and provide entertainment with DJ Khaled. Charlemange tha God & Lizzo will be on hand. Muddy Magnolias Join Grace Potter on the Road
Muddy Magnolias, recording artists recently based out of Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN, have scheduled the release of the debut record Broken People out October 14. The two core musicians, Jessy Wilson is originally from Brooklyn, and the Kallie North was born in Texas. They met in 2013, and have blown away audiences with their enticing energy. GRiZ, a.k.a Grant Kwiecinski, a producer and saxophonist from Detroit, has caught the music industry by storm with his electronic sound. Freaky Deaky is a 3-day music festival that continues to rock the expansive Toyota Park just outside of downtown Chicago in Bridgeview, Illinois. Brittany Spears & G-Eazy, Nick Jonas & Ty Dolla $ign have both been confirmed to join forces at the MTV VMAs taking place in downtown Manhattan on Sunday, August 28. The marks the first time the event has been held at Madison Square Garden in its 33-year history. In addition to the award show, MTV has recently announced that they will open their historic vault with a curated selection of MTV Firsts. This show will be a 30-minute special that will air on Saturday, August 20 at 4:50 p.m. ET/PT. This will take place on MTV, and gear fans up for the award show the following weekend.
Big Gigantic Brighter Future Tour + New Album
Big Gigantic is prepping for a new album titled Brighter Future set for release on August 26. The album explores a variety of vocalists to layer with the big beats from the Denver duo. This project takes listeners on a nationwide trip with a stops in Dallas, Atlanta, Boston, Memphis and a special performance with the Motet at Hulaween in Florida.
