The Bonnaroo Music Festival has just released their 2016 Sustainability Report covering their efforts to reduce, reuse and recycle. One of the unique and environmental-based concepts to the Bonnaroo Music Festival is the Solar Stage that is completely run on solar power. Clean Vibes helps coordinate tons of recycling each year at Bonnaroo. In 2016 they collected 155.1 tons of recycling, 347.18 tons diverted from landfill, and 536.22 tons of food waste recovered. Festival organizers have noted that a dollar from every ticket goes directly to sustainability efforts. One of the programs that they have been focusing on is reducing waste

The solar power industry is taking over 2017 with advanced technology and employment opportunities. During an era of transition, the solar power industry is evolving and adapting at record levels. Reuters reported: "The Trump administration wants jobs and the Trump administration is going to get jobs with solar." - Solar Foundation President Andrea Luecke There is a large debate taking place between the fossil fuel industry, and the renewable energy industry. Last year, the United States added more than 260,000 workers in over 40 states. Within that number, 40 percent of workers are employed by SolarCity/Tesla. With the cost of

Solar Power Panels Increase Production in Areas with More Snowfall

The U.S. Department of Energy recently reviewed the impacts that snow caused on solar power panels. They found out that in light snow conditions, the snow helped generate more power overall. In contrast, they also found that heavy snowfall currently created a problem for the panels. CleanTechnica reported in 2012 that snowy conditions can increase productivity with solar power panels. It does seem that the reflection of the snow would aid to the amount of solar (photovoltaic) cells available for the panels to collect. As technology continues to advance, the materials and methods that the panels are used will soon capture the

Amazon, the Seattle-based technology company, steamrolls through the negativity of the past election, right through climate change, and arrives in Virgina to change the world with five new solar farms. When Amazon created two wind farms in Ohio, I was excited, but to see them work directly with the eastern seaboard is an exciting piece of progression behind the clean energy movement. This level of progression is summerized by Amazon and Business Wire: 'By supporting 260MW of solar generation capacity in Virginia, Amazonbecomes the largest corporate backer of solar projects east of the Mississippi River.'  They also spoke with Governor
