Elon Musk has conquered the Internet, outer space, and now has turned his attention to tunneling underground areas in densely populated areas. Transportation is currently within a transitional period. Musk has been working with Tesla Motors to help decrease the amount of CO2 being pumped into the atmosphere. In addition to Space X, Tesla Motors, and SolarCity, Musk is also working to help build clean and price effective transportation. During the conversation Chris Anderson brings up Musk's recent company, the Boring company. Anderson: You have started a new company to do this, called the Boring Company, very nice, Very Funny.
Talks at Google features the HBO’s ‘Silicon Valley’ Cast for a Comical Discussion
Talks at Google will feature guest speakers to share industry knowledge within their field. Recently, they had the cast from HBO's Silicon Valley up for a lively discussion on the show. Thomas Middleditch, Kumail Nanjiani, Amanda Crew, Zach Woods, and Martin Starr brought their true colors out for their stop by Talks at Google. Kumail Nanjiani opens the discussion with a dig at Google for not having chairs in a viewing area. That is kind of low rent of Google to not provide chairs to their employees. Public libraries have chairs. I find Nanjiani's joke at the start to
Microsoft presents The Explanimators – Episode 1: An Animated Guide to Artificial Intelligence
Artificial intelligence is helping make the world a more sustainable environment. Microsoft recently released a video covering the topic of AI and machine learning. The video points out that AI has helped increased yields for farmers up to 30 percent. It works as an excellent introduction for those unfamiliar with artificial intelligence. One element that bothers me is the narrator using a smartphone while driving in the video. Microsoft is developing an open source platform for their Aerial Informatics and Robotics Platform, but smartphone use while driving is illegal in some states for good reason. Over a dozen people a day

The Facebook F8 Conference Lacks to Deliver Innovative New Products
The first day to the Facebook F8 Conference was held today. Overall I felt it lacked focus at demoing new products to get people excited about upcoming developments within the company. "We're making the camera the first Augmented Reality Platform." - Mark Zuckerberg The conference did shine light on social interaction within virtual reality. The Social VR application launched today on beta. Overall it looks cute, but has a lot of work to be done before it has a definable purpose. One major flaw I see in virtual reality shared experiences in general is compatibility. Users will need to have
3D Printing is Taking Over the Manufacturing Industry One Shoe at a Time
Adidas has announced recently that their Futurecraft 4D will be the first mass-market show to break into the mainstream. The Futurecraft 4D is currently in production, and has been making big strides with their use of carbon to construct the shoes. In the past, Adidas has worked with different forms of 3D printing to refine and redefine traditional shoemaking methods. Futurecraft 3D 1. Photo by: Adidas The Futurecraft 1D is shown in the photo. When you watch Adidas construct the 4D model, it looks like they have gone with new materials and machinery. Adidas notes that the
Clean Technology Uses Solar Energy to Collect Water Molecules
Traditional forms of water management is being tested and refined each year as the global population continues to increase. Recently, the American Association for the Advancement of Science reported that a group of researchers for Department of Mechanical Engineering, Massachusetts Institute of Technology found that it is possible to capture and collect water from the atmosphere with the use of low-grade heat produced by solar energy. MIT added that in a report last year in Science Advances they reported that four billion people, with two billion of those people living in India and China, continue to face “severe water scarcity at least one month of
A Look at How Rewriting the Rules to Net Neutrality could Change the Internet
Net neutrality and regulating the Internet continues to become more important on a national and international level. During the past conflicts with net neutrality within the United States companies have folded under consumer demand. A recent development on Internet privacy is the overturning of the regulations that the Obama administration had put in place to protect Web users. In another poor move to kick off the first 100 days, the Trump administration has now signed into law giving Internet providers more access to their consumers' information. The New York Times reported: “This is a repeal with no replacement.” - Danny Weitzner,
Explore Virtual Reality Online with WebVR Experiments by Google
Google has launched a website titled WebVR Experiments to help manage and showcase the latest open source virtual reality projects on the Internet with JavaScript. In an era of decentralized products and technology, producing interactive projects on the Web can be difficult with the limitations set by browsers and digital devices. Google has launched a platform that uses JavaScript as the core coding language. WebVR Experiments has a selection of games, interactive media, and film projects to review. The Musical Forest is an interactive music-based VR project. Google Creative Lab produced this project, but I had seen a project
