SXSW Music Festival 2017 First Round Artist Preview

SXSW recently announced their first round of musical acts for the 2017 event taking place March 14-19. Musicians from various parts of the globe will travel to Austin, Texas to showcase their material for a diehard concert going audience. The recent developments with the Zika Virus has put North and South Carolina in a tough spot. These two states connect with Florida, and have been releasing a chemical called Naled to combat mosquitos in their area. Even though there has not been a reported case of the Zika virus being locally-transmitted, The Washington Post notes that South Carolina does have over a dozen cases report for travel-related Zika.
