Yonder Mountain String Band Hits the Road with G. Love
Yonder Mountain String Band has recently announced tour dates for their upcoming Winter 2017 tour. The concerts will feature venues across the United States, and will showcase music by G. Love and the Special Sauce, as well as The Railsplitters. On Thursday, January 19 the tour will open at The Bluebird in Bloomington, Indiana. The band will travel to St. Louis to The Pageant the following evening. G. Love will add to the tour starting on February 8 in Orlando, Florida. Beats Antique ‘Let It All Go’ with Preservation Hall Jazz Band
New Orleans funk is knocking on the door to Beats Antique, and the Oakland trio is ready to open the door and 'Let It All Go' with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band. When musical acts have joined forces with the Preservation Hall Jazz Band I have seen mixed reactions, but with the latest collaboration between both bands, I sincerely hope they get to share the stage together at Voodoo Fest in New Orleans at the end of October. TAUK Releases Sir Nebula with Extensive Fall Tour
TAUK, a New York-based quartet, has recently released their latest album Sir Nebula via 1320 Records. To celebrate the release, the band performed a two night stand at the Brooklyn Bowl. Their fall tour continues with festival appearances at: Catskill Chill Music Festival, Hangtown Music Fest, and several concerts in theaters, music halls and venues across the United States. Sir Nebula expands upon the band's sound from their first two albums, and shines light to influence from their touring with Umphrey's McGee. GRiZ, a.k.a Grant Kwiecinski, a producer and saxophonist from Detroit, has caught the music industry by storm with his electronic sound. His upcoming album Good Will Prevail is set for release on September 23 via All Good Records. GRiZ's upcoming Good Will Prevail Tour is set to kick off at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on October 1st. The Floozies Tour the US and Red Rocks Amphitheatre
The Floozies, a duo from consisting of Matt and Mark Hill from Lawrence, Kansas, have recently released fall 2016 tour dates. The band is set to perform Labor Day weekend at the North Coast Music Festival in Chicago. They will be performing on a the Skyline Stage, (one of the main stages) from 6:45 to 7:45. The fall tour dates take The Floozies from the Southeast to the Midwest and returns to the south for the Beak Creek Music Bayou in New Orleans. Aaron Neville recently released Apache, recorded at Studio G in Brooklyn and produced by multiple Grammy-winning artist and producer Eric Krasno. Neville is a New Orleans native, and Krasno has spent more time in New York. This album merges their two styles of music with special guests including: David Guy (Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, Menahan Street Band), Cochemea Gastelum (Sharon Jones & the Dap-Kings, The Budos Band). The Rhythm of the Moment Vinnie Amico, drummer for Moe., gave a drum instruction crash course on drumming at the 2013 Summer Camp Music Festival. During the workshop, Amico described how the drummer leads the tone and is the driving force around the beat to the song. When I listen to Mike Dillon on the xylophone, his refine sound molds well as a solo artist, as well as with other artists. With roots in New Orleans, it has given Dillon the opportunity to perform with a wide range of artists. His latest album, Functioning Broke will be released on April 29

The Soul Revue Stirs it Up at Fools Paradise The Chris Robinson Brotherhood will be heading on tour this year with a new bassist after five years with Mark “Muddy” Dutton. The band shared thoughts on Dutton moving forward. "It has been a great adventure. I wish my brothers a long and beautiful journey, as I leave with pride and fond memories," says Dutton.
