IFP Lab Showcases Featuring Virtual Reality The Independent Filmmaker Project (IFP) is relocating their annual event to Brooklyn, and have their headquarters setup at Made in NY Media Center. Screen Forward Labs and the Screen Forward Conference will be taking place at IFP Film Week during September 17-22. “The film industry has changed,” says IFP Executive Director Joana Vicente. Power SIRG Pick Up a Home Win at The Pavilion The Southern Illinois Roller Girls hosted a double header at The Pavilion in Marion, Illinois on Saturday, April 2. This double header featured a scrimmage bout between two teams looking to gain experience to work into a main roster spot. Puppy Lovers and Cat Ladies squared off against each other. Each of these teams were made up of competitors from Southern Illinois. The main bout consisted of the Southern Illinois Roller Girls, and the Confluence Crush Heartbreakers from the St. Louis area. Saturday March 27th marked a special day when legends of the blues music scene took the stage at Key West Crazy in Little River, SC. The three piece group, Chicago Bob (Lead Guitar/Vocals), Digger T (Harp/Rhythym Guitar/Vocals), and Bobby Liddle (Drums/Backup Vocals), took the stage and laid down the soul as they played their mixture of original blues and covers with a southern rock twist. Brandy Robinson has been working with health and fitness, as well as with the local community to help raise awareness about the importance of physical health.
