The rush to capture the upcoming solar eclipse has the United States centerstage for this monumental event. Many spectators will want to capture the solar eclipse with their smartphone cameras. To achieve the best results, it is best to have a solar filter to protect your eyes, as well as the photograph. It will be smart to plan ahead to have a solar filter ready. Supplies will get short closer to August 21. Currently, the Craft Shop within the Southern Illinois University's Student Center is helping photographers put together solar filters for cameras. A total eclipse will be taking place on Monday, August 21 across sections of the United States. This event will be the first total solar eclipse since 1918. In the Sonoran Desert south of Tucson on weekend of February 2nd – 5th, artists, music lovers, and gem and mineral enthusiasts gathered together for a meeting of the minds. The String Cheese Incident continued the tradition of ringing in the new year at the 1st Bank Center in Broomfield, Colorado. The Werks returned to Morgantown, West Virginia on Saturday, December 3. The band performed at Mainstage Morgantown and brought their action-packed rock to the Applicahan Mountains. Nicholas Hess was on hand to capture the concert with photography. He mentioned that the group played one hell of a show. Suwannee Hulaween 2016 held their fourth annual music festival in Live Oak, Florida on October 27-30. Silver Wrapper, Suwannee Music Park, Purple Hat Productions and The String Cheese Incident brought in My Morning Jacket, Disclosure and Big Gigantic to help headline the four day camping music festival.
