The Earth's Temperature Continues to Climb with Climate Change In the past three years the world's surface temperature has continued to climb at dangerous levels. Since 1880 the global average regarding temperature was the second highest on record. The data within the video below displays a heat map of global temperature. The increases in temperatures can be linked to population size. https://youtu.be/rgcE2lMa0Kw The increase in temperature is causing glaciers to melt in Greenland, Alaska, and Antarctic. Mainland Drilling with Fracking and Offshore Drilling Shows Additional Signs of Unsafe Conditions On Saturday, January 20 the city of Waterbury, Connecticut experienced an oil leak due to a valve malfunction. This incident clearly shows a reoccurring health and environmental problem with drilling for fossil fuel. In this case the oil has leaked out into the Naugatuck River. NBC Connecticut spoke with DEEP Emergency Response Unit Supervisor Jeff Chandler and reported: "There will be a large portion of the oil that has already moved downstream that we’re not going to be able to collect once it gets to the point where

61 Percent of Americans Support Marijuana Legalization Effective January 1, 2018 Proposition 64 in California will now allow adults 21 years or older to possess up to one ounce of marijuana, and grow up to 6 plants in their home. In contrast, Attorney General Jeff Sessions rescinded the Obama policies in regard to cannabis on Thursday, January 4. Twenty-nine states and Washington, DC, now allow marijuana for medical purposes. Sessions is now urging attorneys within the United States to aggressively prosecute individuals for recreational marijuana use in the states that have legalized marijuana. If Jeff Sessions Wants to Make Marijuana Illegal, He Is Going to Have to Create a Substitute to Generate Tax Dollars (Without Raising Taxes) The GOP have put to much authority into the hands of one person with Jeff Sessions. His recent move to take away the power on the state level to manage the criminalization of marijuana is a mistake that effects the entire party. Even the Koch Brothers are against his decision. When the Koch Brothers are against a law, the smart bet is to go with the money, because Sessions can't afford to go against the lobbyists

The Impact that Non-Organic Cotton has on the Environment and Our Health

By |January 3rd, 2018|Categories: Agriculture, Economy, Environment, Fashion, Featured, Health, Lifestyle, National News, Politics, TED Talks, YouTube|Tags: , , |

Find Out the Implications of Non-Organic Cotton One of the most interesting concepts that I have been indirectly taught by the WWE Professional Wrestler, Gardener, and Amateur Environmentalist Daniel Bryan is how important buying organic cotton is to our personal health and the environment. When I first heard him talking about the importance of non-organic cotton, I metaphorically rolled my eyes like many other people. Once I started researching more about this topic, I went from being ignorant and dismissive, to being informed and empowered. Several major clothing companies such as Patagonia, prAna, and Pact Appeal provide organic options. Watch over the
