NitroFest Featured International Brews Crafted with Nitrogen Left Hand Brewing hosted the fourth annual NitroFest in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, November 11. It marked my first time covering NitroFest. Lotus performed an action-packed two hour set with a monster version of 'Tip of the Tongue' at NitroFest 2017. The audience was filled with diehard Lotus fans. Before the show got underway, a member of the audience brought up that she loved Lotus so much, that she named her dog after the band. A wildfire has forced residents in the Boulder area to find safe shelter. Air quality is a major concern for the Boulder County area this weekend. KRDO reported that the fire, which is titled the Sunshine Fire, started in the early morning hours of Sunday, March 19. Uber and Lyft Arrives in Carbondale, Illinois
Two of the biggest ride sharing companies, Uber and Lyft, have recently begun providing service in Carbondale, Illinois. The city of Carbondale has amended part of ordinance to allow Uber and Lyft to operate, but that amendment does not take place until April 1. This has resulted in fewer drivers on the road in March. With it being St. Patrick's Day, I hope the city would be comfortable for drivers to work on this holiday. After April 1, the two companies will have service widely available in Southern Illinois. On Monday, February 13 more than 180,000 people have been told to leave their homes due to risk of flooding north of Sacramento. The recent storms that left an excess amount of water on the ground are currently causing large problems for residents trying to find a place to stay during the flooding.
