Unlock the Holiday Spirit with G. Love The holiday season is in full swing, and G. Love & the Special Sauce have a new album out titled Coming Home For Christmas on Brushfire/Republic Records. One of my favorite acoustic guitar players is Garrett Dutton, also known as G. Love. He performs music with Jeffrey Clemens on drums, and Jim 'Jimi Jazz' Prescott on bass. The trio have been performing music together since 1994. This year the group worked together and released a Christmas album featuring their classic blues sound. Coming Home For Christmas is a reflection of their career. After two decades of working

The Cyclical Problem of Art Imitating Life Talib Kweli has recently released Radio Silence via Javotti Media / 3D. It displays the life and times of a Brooklyn artist painting a verbal expression of life in New York City. For decades Kweli has sought out the truth with his art, and made it possible for others to see the pros and cons of daily life. Radio Silence continues to mold the future for listeners to experience the world through his eyes. The title track 'Radio Silence' showcases a thoughtful passage of art imitating life. NitroFest Featured International Brews Crafted with Nitrogen Left Hand Brewing hosted the fourth annual NitroFest in Longmont, Colorado on Saturday, November 11. It marked my first time covering NitroFest. Lotus performed an action-packed two hour set with a monster version of 'Tip of the Tongue' at NitroFest 2017. The audience was filled with diehard Lotus fans. Before the show got underway, a member of the audience brought up that she loved Lotus so much, that she named her dog after the band. Another member of the press shared stories from his past. One story that was memorable was his encounter

Maroon 5 Breaks Out 'Wait' for the First Time In a Live Setting The international sensation known as Maroon 5 provided an intimate performance for attendees at the iHeartRadio Theater in Burbank, California on Tuesday, November 7. Maroon 5 have recently released Red Pill Blues via Interscope Records. The album title was inspired by the decision making within the movie The Matrix. Overall, the title is compelling and intellectual for a pop album. In comparison, the lyrics within the album lack the depth that the title provides. When I review the movie The Matrix, and the effects of the red pill

Niall Horan threw his album release party this past Friday at iHeartRadio Theater in Los Angeles for his latest project Flicker. Guests were able to soak in the new music, as well as find out more about the makeup of Horan. “I knew what I wanted it to sound like musically and then the lyrics came afterwards. I’m not used to writing songs of that style. To be honest, not many people my age are used to doing that because it is a unique sound from many decades ago. I think that’s why it stood out on the charts.
