SXSW Music Festival 2017 First Round Artist Preview
SXSW recently announced their first round of musical acts for the 2017 event taking place March 14-19. Musicians from various parts of the globe will travel to Austin, Texas to showcase their material for a diehard concert going audience. This year the festival has announced over 150 bands from over 20 different countries within their first round of artists. Artists from over 20 different states in the U.S. were released in the first round announcement. Scan over the list below. Allah-Las Release Calico Review from Valentine Recording Studio
Allah-Las have just released Calico Review on Mexican Summer, and will be touring with new music through the fall season. Tonight, Allah-Las will be performing live at Off-Broadway in St. Louis. Their tour will take them across the United States, and areas of Europe and Central America. Muddy Magnolias Join Grace Potter on the Road
Muddy Magnolias, recording artists recently based out of Atlanta, GA and Nashville, TN, have scheduled the release of the debut record Broken People out October 14. The two core musicians, Jessy Wilson is originally from Brooklyn, and the Kallie North was born in Texas. They met in 2013, and have blown away audiences with their enticing energy. Broken People, is produced by Rick Beato with assistance from Mario Marchetti and Butch Walker. The group teamed together to bring out the soulful expression in the music. The Zika Virus is an infection that can cause birth defects, and can impair brain functionality for newborns with mothers infected with the virus. A large majority of reported cases of the Zika virus have been travel-related cases, such as a person traveling to Central and South America, and returning to the Untied States. The 14 locally-transmitted cases of the Zika virus have been reported near Miami, and in the Florida area. Corona Capital has just released the music lineup for their 2016 event featuring: The Killers, LCD Soundsystem, Lana Del Rey, and over 50 live acts. The festival will be held in Mexico City on November 19 & 20. International touring acts will fly into Mexico for two days of large scale music in a city with a population of 8.8 million.
